Prime Electric, Inc.
Prime Electric was founded in 1998 by Ray Moya and Weldon Claunch. Since that time, armed with a solid work force and positive work ethic, Prime has prided itself in providing customers with the highest standard and quality installations, service and professionalism. With commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction, Prime places an emphasis on building and maintaining successful relationships with customers, as well as employees, subcontractors and suppliers.
Through the use of a core group of excellent IBEW electricians, quality electrical workmanship, and an OSHA-certified workforce, Prime is one of the top electrical contractors in New Mexico. The company's primary focus is to pay the utmost attention to detail and its customers' needs to ensure that they receive the best product possible.
Prime manages the schedule and costs on projects from start to successful completion. In addition, Prime's concern for the future of our environment is instrumental in the company's continued ability to install renewable energy sources and provide energy saving retrofits.
Growth
Prime Electric acquired Gamblin-Rodgers Electric (a 70 year old highly respected and reputable electrical contractor) in March of 2006. This acquisition enhanced Prime's ability to provide electrical service, repairs, maintenance and testing.
Safety - We've Got It!
All journeymen are OSHA certified for the 10 hour training course in construction. Zero Injuries is the goal and safety is paramount on ALL projects. The Safety Plan is administered by the safety director, who ensures that safety procedures are in place and adhered to by all personnel that are on the project worksite. At a minimum, weekly safety meetings are held for all personnel and conducted by our safety director or the project superintendent.
The company Safety Plan is updated regularly, as the industry changes. Prime also has a safety incentives program rewarding workers for reporting injuries, illnesses, near-misses, or hazards; and/or recognizes, rewards, and thereby encourages worker involvement in the safety management system.
Our motto: Safety - We've Got It!
